Der Holocaust und der Nationalsozialismus: Debatten und Kontroversen in der Nachkriegsgesellschaft

In dem Blockseminar werden wir uns mit den gesellschaftlichen und geschichtswissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzungen und Debatten um Holocaust und Nationalsozialismus in der deutschen Nachkriegsgesellschaft beschäftigen. Wir werden uns u.a. mit den intellektuellen Einwürfen von Theodor Adorno und Jean Amery und deren gesellschaftlichen Rezeption beschäftigen, ebenso mit eher historiografischen Debatten um die gegenläufigen Ansätze der Funktionalisten und Intentionalisten, der Diskussion um die Opferperspektive zwischen Martin Broszat und Saul Friedländer, der Browning-Goldhagen Debatte, ebenso wie dem Historikerstreit und auch einen Blick auf heutige Kontroversen um das Verhältnis von nationalsozialistischer Vernichtungspolitik und Kolonialismus werfen.
Es handelt sich um ein Blockseminar. Zwischen den einzelnen Terminen ist die Lektüre grundlegender Texte Voraussetzung für die erfolgreiche Teilnahme am Seminar.
