Proseminar Humangeographie: Themenfelder der Sozial-/Kulturgeographie

Ziele und Inhalt:
Dieses Proseminar verfolgt ein doppeltes Ziel: Zum einen lernen die Studierenden aktuelle Themen und Problemstellungen der Humangeographie kennen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf Themenfeldern der Sozial-/Kulturgeographie. Zum anderen bietet es Gelegenheit, sich in praktischen Übungen mit den grundlegenden wissenschaftliche Arbeitstechniken vertraut zu machen.
Das Proseminar schließt thematisch an das Modul „Grundlagen der Humangeographie“ an. Ausgewählte Ansätze, Begriffe und Problemstellungen der Humangeographie werden mithilfe einschlägiger Literatur und anhand geeigneter Fallbeispiele vertieft. Die Anwendung von Methoden des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens (Arbeitstechniken) bezieht sich auf die Herausforderungen der Literaturrecherche, der Texterschließung, der Strukturierung schriftlicher Arbeiten, korrekter Quellenangaben sowie der Visualisierung und der Präsentation.
Achtung: Die verbindliche Platz- und Themenvergabe erfolgt in der ersten Sitzung am 4. April 2024 (in Präsenz). Aus organisatorischen Gründen ist die Teilnahme an dieser Sitzung zwingend erforderlich! Im Proseminar herrscht insgesamt Anwesenheitspflicht.
Leistungsnachweis:
Der Leistungsnachweis in dieser Veranstaltung besteht aus einer eigenständigen schriftlichen Hausarbeit mit einem Textumfang von 6-8 Seiten (Einzelarbeit) bzw. 8-10 Seiten (Gruppenarbeit von max. zwei Studierenden) sowie mündlichen und schriftlichen Beiträgen, die im Verlauf des Seminars in den einzelnen Sitzungen zu erbringen sind und mindestens "ausreichend" sein müssen. Die Benotung erfolgt aufgrund der Leistung bei der Hausarbeit.
